At Solbakken, your adventure begins the moment you slip into warm clothing, sturdy boots, and your helmet. We give you a safe and inspiring introduction to snowmobiling before letting the engine roar into the silence of the winter landscape.

Option 1: Snowmobile experience; Guided Tour - Learn, Play & Build Confidence

Join a small group of up to four guests on two snowmobiles for a personal and relaxed introduction to snowmobiling. Together with an experienced guide, you’ll learn to handle the snowmobile on gentle terrain, building confidence at your own pace.

This tour focuses on riding, play, and enjoyment — with plenty of time to practice and feel comfortable behind the handlebars. We’ll also stop along the way to take photos, so you can bring the memories home with you.

Perfect for: First-timers, short stays, families, and anyone curious about snowmobiling. This can easily be combined with a visit to Polar Park. Ask us for transfer options.

Option 2: Snowmobile experience; Guided Snowmobile Wilderness Adventure

This extended experience includes full snowmobile training and guided riding, just like our introductory tour — but takes you further into nature. We follow forest trails up the mountain to a summit 800 meters above sea level, with breathtaking views along the way.

The tour includes a stop at a traditional Norwegian cabin, where we grill sausages over an open fire, brew coffee, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. On cold days, we light the wood stove inside for a warm and cozy break before continuing the adventure.

Perfect for: Guests who want more time, scenery, and authentic Arctic atmosphere.

No need to book the introductory tour separately.

This package includes everything from our guided snowmobile tours, combined with an overnight stay at Solbakken. After a full day of riding through snowy landscapes, you settle into a traditional Norwegian cabin surrounded by forest and silence.

As a snowmobile guest, you enjoy free access to the sauna, with the option to add a wood-fired hot tub for a perfect evening. If the sky is clear, you can also join an optional Northern Lights snowmobile tour, heading back into the mountains after dark to witness the Arctic sky far from artificial light.
